SARINZ is a small organisation. This means employment opportunities are limited but, when vacancies do arise, external advertisements will be posted on this website.
Different levels of Instructor are available within the SAR programme depending on the knowledge, skills and attributes of the applicant and the positions that require filling at the time of application.
Opportunities exist for applicants to become Certified SARINZ Instructors to further develop skills and knowledge and to become future Assessors. As a rule SARINZ will only accept Assessors with a proven subject knowledge and skill base to meet its stated objective as New Zealand’s international training centre of search and rescue excellence.
Regional or Local Course Assistants are currently sought for all courses within the Search Programme - especially those with skills and experience in Track and Clue Awareness and/or Search Methods and/or skills and experience in Foundation Rope Rescue.
These positions would be ideally suited to person(s) that are currently providing in-house training to their own local or regional SAR groups.
