Increased requests for SARINZ training and the introduction of refresher training has created the need to enlarge our pool of qualified and experienced training personnel. In particular, positions have become available for either Course Assistants and/or Instructors in the SAR Programme.
In 2007 SARINZ developed a multi tiered structure to meet the requests of SAR regions and allow potential instructors to enter at a level suited to their circumstances, experience and ability.
SARINZ multi tiered structure lessens the impact of travel and time away from family as assistants/instructors can choose to only work within their SAR region. This allows multiple individuals within each region to improve their SAR knowledge and skills in a subsidised manner. This approach not only benefits the individual and their family, but also their SAR group and ultimately the lost subject.

These positions would be ideally suited to person(s) that are currently providing in-house training to their own local or regional SAR groups.
