Blake McDavitt, a long serving SARINZ instructor, has been wintering over down on the ice. To most people winter is probably cold enough this year - but not to Blakey.
Whilst down on the ice Blake has been perfecting his culinary skills and generally just chilling out - working with the winter team and and assisting in keeping Scott Base ticking along and getting everything ready for another busy summer. Blake is going to be quite a catch upon his return...
"We had an amazing midwinter dinner, Crayfish, Paua, loin of Beef what a luxury. I cooked up some Pavlova rolls for dessert. Yes!I could lose my man card for that, but they were good, even if I say so myself. Here are some pic's of the crap we have to put up with in the winter."

We look forward to having Blake back in October, where he will hopefully once again be part of the Instructor team delivering TCA,Tracking and other Search courses around the country - in the mean time we wish him well (and we are only a little jealous).
