SARINZ harnesses the skills and talent of New Zealand SAR people and international agencies to service the SAR sector. Unique to the sector, SARINZ training and support services take place onsite - we come to you - this ensures our you receive the skills and expertise in the environment where you need them.

SARINZ employs or contracts people who have in-depth subject knowledge and practical SAR experience, or research, teaching and management capabilities to make a difference. As a centre of excellence our people excel in their specialist areas of search and rescue.

While the SARINZ office is based in Christchurch our people are located throughout New Zealand and around the world.
