Vertical Rope Rescue

Vertical Rope Rescue

This course is designed to train rescue skills in difficult terrain, typically inaccessible areas with slope between 30 degrees and vertical. It includes the construction and use of low and high directional, multi point anchoring systems and specialised rescue systems. Theoretical understandings are strengthened in areas such as vector, force and risk analysis and site protection and safety. More difficult operational rescue procedures are taught and practiced including patient handling and rescue with and without stretchers in vertical environments.
